Join Mel and friends in the Greenhome Garage for an open studio event all about unstructured, parallel time. Whether you bring your own project, dive into a collaborative task, or come to soak up inspiration, the choice is yours—no pressure, just creativity at your pace.

Share ideas, connect with fellow creators, and explore the possibilities of this welcoming, creative space.

Tools are available for a wide variety of projects. An attendee might engage in:

Traditional Arts - painting, drawing, drafting

>community consumables available

Sewing, Mending, all things textile - Sewing machine(Bernina 530), Serger, expansive hand needle options

>notion tools include grommets, snaps, specialty pressing supply, applique, diy bias tape tool, patternmaking, and more

>Bernina 530 feet include: universal, darning, piping, zipper, invisible zipper, edge join, blind stitch, buttonhole, 6mm rolled hem, and open toe.

>Print resources, learning kits, clothing patterns (all sizes, all gender), houseware patterns, craft patterns, stuffed animal patterns

Stationary, book binding, drafting, card making, printmaking, and more - paper cutters, cut table, clamp and mount options, padding clamps, laminator, pens pens pens pens, straight edges, grid rulers, angle rulers, scale rulers and scale furniture templates, etc

Lapidary and Cabochon - rock saw, cab table, buffer, rotary tool

Wood working - whittling to finish carpentry

>Miter saw, band saw, scroll saw, jig saw, table saw, hand planes, router+table, a broken jointer (want to fix 'er?), chisels, rotary tool*, and many more hand tools

>*dozens of bits for the rotary tool including multi material carving (soap, wood, rock, and more), silversmith, jewelry polishing, blades, and more.

Car Maintenance - most any tool you could need from an oil change to an engine replacement

Don't have anything in mind to work on? Projects and other hand occupations here:
